A cold wave swept across Himachal Pradesh on Monday as higher reaches in the hill state witnessed heavy snowfall while lower areas were lashed by rain. A large number of tourists thronged at Kufri,which saw the seasons first snowfall.
Queen of Hills Shimla recorded a night temperature of 2.1 degree Celsius against Sundays 7.1 degree Celsius,said Met officials.
Keylong,the district headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti,was the coldest place in the state where a minimum temperature of minus 7.4 degrees Celsius was recorded.
