Lok Adalat to hear 15,000 cases today

Chandigarh: Over 15,000 cases will be disposed of at the UT District Courts at a Lok Adalat on Saturday. These include civil suit appeals,MACT appeals,cheque bounce cases,those at the pre-litigative stage,and traffic challans. UT District Courts Administrative Judge Justice K Kannan of the Punjab and Haryana High Court will be present.

EWS application deadline extended

Chandigarh: The UT Education Department has again extended the last date for receipt of applications for admission to aided,unaided and private schools under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota till March 30.The date has been extended due to the inconvenience being faced by parents in obtaining income certificates from the competent authority.
