The UT Education Department announced on Tuesday that the last date to receive applications under the EWS category in various aided,unaided and private recognised schools of Chandigarh has been extended from March 23 to 26.

CHANDIGARH: The UT Education Department announced on Tuesday that the last date to receive applications under the EWS category in various aided,unaided and private recognised schools of Chandigarh has been extended from March 23 to 26. All heads of institutions have been directed to accept the application forms for admission from the parents/ guardians who produce Below Poverty Line (BPL) Cards as a proof of annual income.

Ashadeep student succumbs to injuries

Chandigarh: Subhash,the student of Ashadeep,Sector 31,who had attempted suicide last week,died at GMCH-32 on Monday night. A post mortem was conducted and the body handed over to the family on Tuesday. Subhas,who was pursuing the Centres Diploma for Vocational Rehabilitation,had jumped off the third floor of the building last week. Since then he was admitted in GMCH-32.
