Chasing a Dream

For Anuuj Saxena,a television star aiming to make a successful transition to the big screen,the pursuit of stardom has already begun. “I have been a superstar on the small screen and hope to be appreciated on the big screen too,” he says,while in town with co-star Udita Goswami to promote his action-thriller Chase,the first independent venture of his production company Maverick,in which he plays the lead as well. “I’m in control of the acting but being a producer increases responsibility,’’ he adds. The movie is scheduled for release on April 30.

Chase,directed by Jag Mundhra,has enough action and drama to keep the audience on the edge of their seats,says Saxena. “It kept me on my toes,’’ he says,talking of his character Sohail,a man on the run to prove his innocence and uncover the truth. The search for truth takes the audience through the streets of Mumbai in an exciting and thrilling chase,endind in a nail-biting climax.

Goswami,too,has enjoyed running in the jungles,riding bikes and playing a girl on the go. “I love to watch action movies and had fun doing the action scenes. A strong story and script can make a movie successful and banners and big stars really don’t matter,’’ she signs off.
