BSF grab three gold medals

Border Security Force (BSF) added three fold medals to its tally on the third day of the All India Police watersports championship being held at Sukhna Lake on Saturday.

Border Security Force (BSF) added three fold medals to its tally on the third day of the All India Police watersports championship being held at Sukhna Lake on Saturday. The BSF sportspersons won gold in canoeing-1,Kayaking-2 and canoeing-4. Indo-Tibetan Border Police won two gold medals- in kayaking-1 and kayaking-4.

While ITBP dominated on Day Two,the third day belonged to BSF as they started on a good note by winning old in canoeing-1. Constable Ankit Pachori clocked 5:01.33 seconds to claim gold. G Suresh of Andhra Pradesh Police and Haroon Stanly of SSB won silber and brone with 5:05.85 and 5:06.16 seconds respectively.

Then,constable Renjith M and Rohit Kumar gave them the second gold of the day by winning the kayaking-2 title. They took 4:19.82 seconds,leaving behind S Dharmender Singh and Ashok Malik of CRPF,and Zahoor Ahmad and Pravaiz Ahmad of J&K Police at second and third places with 4:20.40 and 4:24.24 seconds respectively.

The third gold came in the form of canoeing-4 when Arun Kumar,Satish Kumar,Mutuman Bony Singh and Ankit Pachori clocked 4:28.20 seconds to win the title.

ITBP won the first gold when constable Francis Xaviar took 4:18.87 seconds in kayaking-1. In Kayaking-4,Robindra Singh,Gurmej Singh,Binsu Joseph and Pankaj Kumar after clocking 3:49.80 seconds.

Central Reserve Police Force also won a gold medal. The gold came in the form of canoeing-2 in which Manoj Rawal and Nilkanta Singh clocked 4:35.30 seconds for the effort.
