Shimla: United Kingdom-based International Hydro Power Association has offered its expertise in harnessing hydro power in Himachal Pradesh. The state has 23,000 mega watts of identified hydro-power potential,of which only 25 per cent has been harnessed during the last three and a half decades. A number of projects are being commissioned to enhance the capacity to 17,000 MW by the end of the 12th Five Year Plan.
Anurag Thakur returns from Panama
Shimla: BJP MP Anurag Thakur,who accompanied Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar to attend the 124th Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union held at Atlapa Convention Centre,Panama City (Panama),has returned after over a weeklong trip. Next task in hand for the MP,who is also president of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association is to organise three IPL matches at Dharamsala next month.
