Haryana Govt raises marriage advance for staff to Rs 1.25 lakh
Chandigarh: The Haryana government has revised the limit of marriage advance for its employees with immediate effect. Those who now draw revised pay in any pay band would be eligible for Rs 1.25 lakh or 10 months pay in any pay band (including revised pay and grade pay),whichever is less,for the marriage of their sons,daughters,dependent sisters and self-marriage.
Panchayat by-poll announced
Chandigarh: Haryana State Election Commissioner Dharam Vir on Friday announced the programme for Panchayat by-elections to fill up the casual vacancies of 276 panches,15 sarpanches of gram panchayats and four member panchayat samitis. Nominations would be filed between December 2 and 4,the date of scrutiny would be December 6 and withdrawals can be made by December 8. Elections would be held on December 15 and counting for the post of panches and sarpanches would be held at 8 am on December 16.
Shimla town hall to undergo restoration
Shimla: Shimlas historic town hall building on Mall Road,now housing the Shimla MCs office,is set to undergo restoration as the ADB) as released Rs 17 crore. The nearly 150-year-old British era building was identified after Gaiety Theatre for restoration.
Hooda condoles Sri Krishan Dass death
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed grief over the death of former Haryana Minister and senior Congress leader Seth Sri Kishan Dass in Rohtak on Friday after prolonged illness. On hearing the news,Hooda cancelled his programme of attending a function in Rohtak with Mauritius President Anerood Jugnauth and Governor Jagannath Pahadia.
Ranbir Singhs statue at Rohtak
Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia on Friday unveiled a statue of the late Ranbir Singh at Rohtak on his 96th birth anniversary. He described Ranbir Singh as a great patriot,parliamentarian,able minister,social reformer and a staunch Gandhian.
2 Naib tehsildars suspended
Chandigarh: Taking a serious view of a case of registering documents of shamlat land in an unauthorised manner and indulgence of revenue officials in misappropriation of valuable properties in district Palwal and illegal sanctioning of mutation or registration of sale deeds of Shamlat land in village Budian,district Ambala,Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has directed that the concerned two Naib Tehsildars and a Tehsildar be placed under suspension with immediate effect. The CM also ordered that criminal cases be registered against the delinquent officials.
Gurgaon RWAs allowed to erect gates
Chandigarh: The Haryana government has decided to accord permission to Resident Welfare Societies of Gurgaon in genuine cases,but subject to certain conditions,to erect gates in HUDA sectors and other residential colonies developed by various builders in Gurgaon district,said Gurgaon DC Rajender Kataria.
Model Code of Conduct in Bhiwani,Kaithal
Chandigarh: In view of the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in municipal councils of Kaithal and Bhiwani and Municipal Committee,Uchana in district Jind,for which schedule of elections has been released on November 24 by the State Election Commission,Haryana,the chief minister,ministers,chief parliamentary secretaries and parliamentary secretaries have been requested not to sanction any grant from their discretionary fund or from the government fund.
