Three IAS officers transferred
Chandigarh:Haryana on Thursday issued transferred three IAS officers with immediate effect. Krishna Mohan,Additional Chief Secretary,Cooperation and Forests and Wild Life Departments has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner,Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Departments against a vacant post. Devender Singh has been posted as Chairman DHBVN and UHBVN by relieving Ajit Sharan. He has also been posted as Managing Director of DHBVN and UHBVN relieving Amit Kumar Agrawal and Arun Kumar Gupta respectively.
HIV test for woman shelter inmates
Chandigarh:Now,all inmates in women shelter homes in Haryana will be tested for HIV so that those affected get timely medical help. The Women and Child Development Department will get the tests conducted by Haryana AIDS Control Society,departments director general,Sumita Misra,said on Thursday.
Four TMC district units join Cong
Chandigarh:The Haryana unit of Trinamool Congress (TMC) suffered a major blow on Thursday when its Kurukshetra,Ambala,Yamunanagar and Panchkula district units joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Led by Kurukshtera district unit president Lakhwinder Singh Lakha and senior Gurjar leader Bhupinder Singh Babbu,the TMC office members called on Hooda at his residence and expressed their faith in his leadership. Hooda described it as home coming for the leaders who had earlier been lured by the TMC. Meanwhile,the TMC described the merger as a false news.
Anti-reservation body threatens stir
Shimla:Supporting Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, Himachal Pradesh Anti-Reservation Employees Movement Committee has threatened a country-wide stir if the Centre decided to go ahead with its plan to provide reservation to SCs/STs in promotions. Committee General Secretary Rameshwar Gripta said the Centres move was politically-motivated and a vote-bank driven plan.
