Dhurandhar worldwide box office collection day 39: Ranveer Singh’s film takes over KGF Chapter 2 in India, RRR worldwide with Rs 1260 cr earning

Dhurandhar even earned on its sixth Monday more than what the dubbed Hindi version of this past Friday’s new release did on its first Monday. Maruthi’s Telugu horror comedy The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, earned only Rs 1.75 crore in its Hindi version. Thus, Dhurandhar continues to earn more than even the subsequent releases even in its sixth week.

Its earnings on Tuesday may be significant too, given the makers are offering tickets at a special price of only Rs 149. As per a social media post by Dhurandhar producer Jio Studios, the film has now amassed Rs 860.10 crore after 39 days at the domestic box office. This has allowed it to surpass the lifetime domestic earnings of Prashanth Neel’s 2022 Kannada action thriller KGF: Chapter 2, which stands at Rs 859.70 crore.

Ranveer’s film has now dethroned the Yash-starrer to become the third highest grossing Indian film ever at the domestic box office. It has a long way to go before it can topple the top two spots, secured by Sukumar’s 2024 Telugu action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1234.10 crore), starring Allu Arjun, and SS Rajamouli;s 2017 Telugu action fantasy epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1030.42 crore), starring Prabhas.

Dhurandhar worldwide box office

Dhurandhar’s dominance at the worldwide box office is no different. The film has amassed $31.588 million or Rs 284.83 crore after its sixth weekend, as per leading film trade analyst Taran Adarsh. As per Sacnilk, its total global collection now stands at Rs 1258.60 crore. Thus, it’s now surpassed the lifetime global box office earnings of Rajamouli’s 2022 period action epic RRR. The Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer had amassed Rs 1230 crore at the worldwide box office.

In the process, Dhurandhar has become the fourth highest grossing Indian film ever at the global box office. The top three spots are held by Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore), and Nitesh Tiwari’s 2016 Bollywood family sports drama Dangal (Rs 2070.30 crore).

However, if the China box office of Rs 1200 is excluded from the overall global haul of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster, then Dhurandhar is also the highest grossing Hindi film ever at the worldwide box office. It’s already the highest grossing Hindi film ever at the domestic box office, after it beat the dubbed Hindi version of Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 812.14 crore) last year.
