Over 5,000 registrations have been made for the 4,000 BCom seats within the first two days of the admission process,for colleges affiliated to Panjab University (PU),having started.
The admission process,for BCom in Panjab University-affiliated colleges located in Chandigarh,including the Department of Evening Studies,Panjab University,and the colleges located in Ludhiana city,including Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College of Commerce and Management,is being conducted by PU via a centralised system.
Students can download the forms by visiting the website bcomadmissions.puchd.ac.in. Detailed information regarding application form,number of seats in different colleges,eligibility conditions and reservation policy are also available at the same website. The last date for submission of application forms has been specified as June 28,before 3 pm. Forms can also be submitted by hand only at PU Regional Centre,Civil Lines,Ludhiana,by June 30.
The students have to fill the online application form with at least five options of colleges in order of their preference. They have to,then,submit the form,attaching copies of matriculation certificate,10+2 certificate,category certificate in addition to a demand draft for Rs 150 (general category) or Rs 75 (SC/ST) to Professor Suresh K Chadha,coordinator,BCom online admissions,by June 30.
