The Indian School of Business (ISB),Mohali,hosted renowned sculptor Karl Antao,as part of its “Artist-in-Residence” programme . A unique concept introduced by ISB,Hyderabad,11 years ago as a part of the Business and Arts programme,this one has the school hold a series of lectures,presentations,and workshops by well-known artists. As a part of this initiative,a reputed artist is invited to live on the ISB campus and interact with the students,which gives them an opportunity to understand and explore the mind of an artist through his or her art which includes photography,painting and dance to discover how artistic expressions can open up a whole new alternative thought process,give shape to unstructured thoughts,and stimulate aesthetic sensibilities.

Antao’s work titled Thinking Seed has been installed in the academic block of the Mohali campus. “Talking to students from diverse backgrounds brought forth new ideas and perspectives. Also,the hands-on collaborations have made it a rejuvenating experience,” said Antao,who shared some of his work,narrated stories about each one of them and stirred up conversations on the creative thinking processes,channelising inspiration and drawing parallels from life.
