Ajay to face Pranav in final

While Darshan Dilbar Singh easily defeated Yashasvi Balhara 5-2,Hridayjot was pushed to the brink by Balsher before he managed to beat the latter 5-4 (7-4) in a tough encounter. Anirudh Sangra,meanwhile,did not face any resilience from Anirudh Thakur and blanked him 5-0 while Karanveer Rajal kept his nerves and overcame Aditya Singla 5-4 (7-3) in a hard-fought match. Similarly,Harteshwar Dhaliwar did not lose a single game and thrashed Rajbir Walia 5-0 while Rohan Arora also produced a superb performance to register an easy 5-0 win over Tanmay Bhagat. Sayyam Aggarwal and Vedant also made it to the quarter-finals after defeating Digvijay Singh and Jaskirat Hundal,their respective opponents,5-0.

Sanam reaches final

Sanam Singh is one win away from clinching his second ITF Futures singles title of the season as he has reached the final of the Toronto event after a tough victory over fifth seed Michael Shabaz. The second seed Indian beat the American 6-3 3-6 7-5 in the semifinals. Sanam now faces top seeded Canadian Peter Polansky,who advanced to the summit clash after getting a walkover from Vijayant Malik. Malik and Sanam had also conceded the doubles semifinal due to the former’s unspecified injury. If Sanam wins the singles final,it will be his second title,having triumphed at an event in America in March.
