550 attend socio-medical camp

The Chandigarh Senior Citizens’ Association organised a socio-medical camp on Sunday morning at Government Senior Secondary School,Dhanas. This was the second camp in a series of such camps and other events part of a month-long celebrations which will culminate on October 1,International Senior Citizens’ Day. Around 550 people attended the camp. UT Finance Secretary V K Singh was the chief guest. Specialists from various medical institutes,including IVY Hospital,Grewal Eye Institute and Guru Nanak Multi-Specialty Hospital were present. Sahayta Cancer Sahyog spread awareness about cancer and apprised patients about mammography and other tests.
