The chandigarh Police on Saturday arrested Rohtash,a 45-year-old resident of Bapu Dham colony,on charges of raping a minor girl. Police said that on June 12,the accused,who works as a labourer,raped the 10-year-old girl,who was his neighbour. The victim could not muster courage to narrate the incident. She told her parents about it on Saturday morning. The girl alleged that she remained silent because the accused threatened to lodge a case of theft against her father,if she told anyone about it. She said that Rohtash pulled her into his house and raped her, police said. Her parents immediately filed a complaint. The police registered an FIR,arrested the accused and got the victim medical examined.
