Rector’s murder case remains unsolved

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pranab Mohanthy, who is leading the investigation, said no arrests have been made in the case.

The city police have said they need more time to solve the murder of Father KJ Thomas, who was found murdered in the St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary in Malleshwaram on the night of April 1, 2013.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pranab Mohanthy, who is leading the investigation, said no arrests have been made in the case. “We have not arrested or taken anyone into custody in connection with the murder of KJ Thomas. We are investigating the case and it will take some time to solve it,” Mohanthy said.

Police sources said the case took a new twist when they began to suspect that someone had paid professionals to eliminate the rector. “We are pursuing that lead but are yet to verify it. We will nab the accused and solve the case within a week if it is true,” an officer said.
