Live wire snaps, kills Bengaluru woman

According to a police officer, the incident happened around 10 am when Manjamma was talking to a few women on the road. A power line snapped and fell on Manjamma, killing her on the spot.

The entire episode was captured on CCTV. One of the women with whom Manjamma was talking tried to help her, but she was dragged away by another woman as there were chances of her getting electrocuted too.

Passersby informed the police, who arrived at the spot and sent the body for postmortem. “We have opened a case against Bescom officials,” a senior officer said.
