Around two lakh children from various schools in the city will support the campaign Joy of Giving,launched by the Give India Movement.
Addressing the media today,vice president of the Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown,Kalpraj Mehta,said,”Joy of Giving movement is being organised by the Give India Movement across the country to create brotherhood among the people of the society and the Rotary Club will help organise public awareness programmes during September 27 to October 3.”
“Programmes like cycle rally and collecting toys and ration for poor children will be taken up during the week-long campaign in
Rajkot. Activists and children from 210 schools will launch door-to-door campaign to collect ration like wheat and rice and toys,which will be distributed among the children living in slum areas,” he said.
A free medical camp will also be organised,which will be attended by prominent doctors of the city. The Joy of Giving movement will be conducted across the country and around 2 crore children will participate in it.
