Two attempt suicide

As police resorted to lathi charge,two suicide attempts were reported at the venue,both in desperation to seek audience with the CM. In the first incident,a 24-year-old housewife from Morbi town in Rajkot district — accompanied by her eight-year-old daughter — slashed here wrists with a blade and wrote a letter in blood to the CM to meet him. EMRI officials rushed her to the V S Hospital. “Her injury was superficial. She was admitted in the emergency ward where her condition was stable,” said an EMRI official.

In another incident,Dinesh Chhotalal (18) from Surendranagar slit his wrists as he was “depressed” over a theft allegation against him. He wanted to meet politicians to get a solution to his problem,police said.
