4 Indians from Gujarat die in Canada after Tesla they were travelling in crashes, bursts into flames

Three of the deceased have been identified as Ketaba Gohil (29) and her brother Neelraj (25), and Jayrajsinh Sisodia (30), a resident of Borsad in Anand district. Another man and the woman who escaped the crash haven’t been identified yet.

Four Indians from Gujarat died after the Tesla car they were travelling in crashed into a guardrail and burst into flames in Canada’s Toronto on Thursday.

While the two siblings from Godhra in Panchmahal district and two others from Anand district died, another 25-year-old woman travelling with them escaped with burn injuries.

Three of the deceased have been identified as Ketaba Gohil (29) and her brother Neelraj (25), and Jayrajsinh Sisodia (30), a resident of Borsad in Anand district. Another man and the woman who escaped the crash haven’t been identified yet.

Canada tesla crash A relative of the deceased Gohli siblings told The Indian Express that their parents haven’t been able to come to terms with the loss.

According to a report by Toronto-based CTV news, two truck drivers had pulled over and tried to help the occupants of the car by smashing the windows as they heard the occupants yelling. The report further informed that the woman, who had been pulled out of the car, was able to walk and sit on the side of the road. “However, the woman did not give any further information about the crash,” the report stated.

Tesla car crash According to the relative, the group was returning after a birthday party when the accident happened.

A relative of the deceased Gohli siblings told The Indian Express that their parents haven’t been able to come to terms with the loss. “Their father, Sanjaysinh Gohil, is a retired bank employee. Ketaba had been residing in Toronto for the last five years, while Neelraj had moved in January this year to join his sister,” the relative, who requested anonymity, said.

According to the relative, the group was returning after a birthday party when the accident happened. “The family received a phone call on Thursday. The Canadian authorities have said that they would begin the DNA profiling of the charred bodies next week once the family has given a go ahead,” the relative added.
