(REUTERS/File Photo) Edinburgh Airport latest news: Scotland’s Edinburgh Airport Thursday resumed flights after a temporary suspension on all arrivals and departures due to an air traffic control IT failure, which brought operations to an abrupt stop around 08:30 local time, AP reported. Some passengers reported being stranded on aircraft waiting on the runway as officials scrambled to fix the outage.
In a statement, the airport said flights had been suspended due to an IT problem with its air traffic control provider, adding that teams were working to resolve the issue “as soon as possible.” Travellers were advised to contact their airlines for the latest updates.
Per Eurocontrol, Edinburgh arrivals are suspended for at least the next few hours.
