‘Placements for PGs fine despite odds’

Indian Institute of Management,Ahmedabad (IIMA),on Saturday announced that placements for its graduating batch of post-graduate programme in management (PGP) has been “successfully completed despite the slightly adverse market conditions”.

“Despite adverse market conditions,IIMA did not witness a hiring freeze from any sector,” the B-school said in a release,adding,students received roles in sales and marketing,general management and product development in investment banks,financial institutions,consulting firms and e-commerce companies.

More than 120 firms participated in the placement process in 2012.
