New BRTS link to open today

The much-awaited corridor of Bus Rapid Transit corridor that connects the walled city with western part of New Vadaj in the trans-Sabarmati area will be inaugurated on Wednesday by Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel,who is also guardian minister for Ahmedabad.

The much-awaited corridor of Bus Rapid Transit corridor that connects the walled city with western part of New Vadaj in the trans-Sabarmati area will be inaugurated on Wednesday by Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel,who is also guardian minister for Ahmedabad.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi will skip the function to dedicate the corridor to the people.

The function will be held at Patel Park on the 132-foot Ring Road near Bhavsar Hostel at 5.30 pm. The new corridor will greatly reduce the travel distance and time between the two spots and it will do away the need to go to New Vadaj in a bus via Gandhi Bridge and Ashram Road.

The new route will take passengers from Delhi gate to New Vadaj via Dudheshwar Road.

The new link will also reduce passenger pressure on AMTS buses from Kalupur and Maninagar plying via Delhi Darwaja and Ashram Road.
