MSU students to host BBA Baazigar in January
VADODARA: Students of BBA programme will be hosting the BBA Baazigar: Season 4,which will be held from January 18 to 31.
The event will also have participants from Surat,Rajkot,Ahmedabad,Vidyanagar and Gandhinagar playing for the prize amounts ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 which the participants have to win through their profit-making skills of business.

Undertrial on hospital visit hoodwinks cops
SURAT: A murder undertrial escaped from police custody while he was being taken to the New Civil Hospital for check-up on Thursday afternoon. The Surat police had arrested Balbhadra Darbar (30) in connection with a loot and murder case in Mahidharprua in 2003. He was lodged in the Surat sub-jail since then.
He complained of severe stomach and body ache on Thursday morning and was taken to the New Civil Hospital along with four other prisoners for check-up. On the way to the doctor’s room he asked for permission to go to the toilet and escaped from the hospital. A search later,the escorting party lodged a complaint with the Khatodara police station.
Inspector M V Chawda said: “The accused resides in Ahmedabad. We will send a team there to nab him. We have sent our teams to the Surat Railway station and the bus stand to catch him.” — ENS

Kabir Festival at Gujarat Vidhyapeeth
AHMEDABAD: ANHAD (Act Now for Harmony and Democracy),a platform for structuring action oriented social movements will host the Kabir Festival on Saturday at the Gujarat Vidhyapeeth here.
A short film,‘Journeys with Ram and Kabir’
by award-winning documentary filmmaker Shabnam Virmani will be shown at the festival.
Mukhtiar Ali,a Mirasi folksinger will perform at the fest singing poetries of Kabir,Mira and Sufi poets like Bulleh Shah.
Action Aid and Janvikas are supporting the festival.
