After rain, many areas face water-logging in Ahmedabad

The riverfront continued to remain shut for public as the water flow continued uninterrupted.

Ahmedabad city received moderate rain Wednes-day. Vatva, Makhdumnagar, Vastral and Chandkheda, Vijli Karmacharinagar areas faced heavy water-logging. About 71 pumps were kept standby should the situation worsen due to water-logging, said a municipal corporation communique.  As water level of Sabarmati remained at 129-ft on Wednesday at 4 pm, 42,168 cusecs was being discharged by keeping 21 gates open at Vasna barrage. The riverfront continued to remain shut for public as the water flow continued uninterrupted.
