Crisil Q4 net profit moves up 17 pc.

Crisil reported a growth of 17.29 per cent in its net profit at Rs 45.72 crore.

Credit ratings and research services firm Crisil today reported a growth of 17.29 per cent in its net profit at Rs 45.72 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) ended December 31,2010.

It had a net profit of Rs 38.98 crore in the Q4 of the last fiscal,Crisil said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

It also reported an increase of 24.67 per cent in its total Q4 income at Rs 148.35 crore as against Rs 118.99 crore in the year-ago period.

For the 2010 fiscal year,the ratings agency reported a net profit of Rs 195.75 crore,up 30.20 per cent over the figure of Rs 150.34 crore reported in 2009.

Crisil’s total income in 2010 went up 19.84 per cent toRs 531.28 crore from Rs 443.33 crore in the previous fiscal.
