In a recent survey conducted by J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS), it was found that the Ford EcoSport has registered least number of problems after evaluating responses from 8,429 EcoSport owners who purchased their vehicle between November 2013 and July 2014. Infact, owners of the EcoSport are so satisfied with their cars that it emerged as the highest ranked SUV, said the survey.
The survey included 73 vehicle models from 17 makes and was conducted between May 2014 and September 2014 in 30 cities across India.
The 2014 IQS survey took into account various issues owners experience with their new vehicle during the first two to six months of ownership. The study covered more than 200 problem symptoms covering eight vehicle categories: engines and transmissions, vehicle exterior, driving experience, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, features, controls and displays, vehicle interior, seats, and audio, entertainment and navigation.
Commenting on the occasion, Nigel Harris, president and managing director, Ford India said: “At Ford, we value the trust shown by our customers and are proud to have surpassed their expectations with Ford EcoSport receiving the coveted Initial Quality Study 2014 recognition by J.D. Power Asia Pacific. With new products on the horizon and a new world class manufacturing facility operational in Sanand, we are focused on continuing to provide Indian customer outstanding quality and peace of mind associated with a Ford.”
