Sitapur murder case: Two accused held

Sitapur, Feb 23 (ANI): Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of a girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. Sitapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Balendu Bhushan Singh said that the incident might be a case of love affair, adding that a case has been registered based on the statements of victim's family. The duo allegedly shot the deceased when she was returning home with her sister.

The 24-year-old woman had gone to a pub inside the mall to collect her mobile phone, which she had forgotten there. Taking advantage of the situation, two employees of the mall harassed the woman. Bhushan said a child aged around eight was hit by a bullet in a celebratory firing. An eight-year-old boy was killed allegedly in a celebratory firing after local elections results were announced in Shamli on Sunday. The Samajwadi Party workers were celebrating the win of candidate Nafisa in the elections when the bullet fired during a rally hit the victim.

Street dogs maul kid to death

Ajnala, Jan 11 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a three-year-old boy was killed by a pack of street dogs by constant clawing in a village in Ajnala town of Punjab. The victim, Angad Veer was playing outside his residence when the stray dogs attacked him. The deceased was the only child of his parents. Alerted by screaming of the child, residents rushed out to rescue him but large number of wild dogs tried to attack them too.Veer was rushed to a nearby hospital in Ajnala, where doctors declared him brought dead.The villagers alleged government failure in keeping a check on the growing population of stray dogs despite many cases of dog menace.
