Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Tuesday tweeted that 11 more Indian wetlands, including TCFS, have got Ramsar recognition as “wetlands of international importance”. With the addition of these 11 wetlands, the number of Ramsar sites in India has gone up to 75.
Relief for fisherfolk affected by Thane creek bridge work

The HC had held that the construction will impact the “customary right” of fisherfolk staying around the creek. It had directed that a “TCB compensation committee” be set up to determine compensation to be paid to the project-affected fisherfolk.
