Santhanam: From Comedy King to Producer Santhanam Neelamegam, born January 21, 1980, is a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, transitioning from a television comedian to a successful actor and producer. His career began with Star Vijay's Lollu Sabha, where he gained recognition for his comedic spoofs of Tamil films. This led to a supporting role in Silambarasan's Manmadhan (2004), followed by critically acclaimed performances in Sachien (2005) and Polladhavan (2007). A breakthrough leading role in Shankar's Arai En 305-il Kadavul (2008) solidified his presence. His unique brand of insult comedy propelled him to stardom, significantly aiding the distribution of several films. His collaborations with director M. Rajesh, notably in the Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010), and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012) trilogy, garnered him three Vijay Awards for Best Comedian. He also frequently collaborated with directors A. L. Vijay, Siva, and Sundar C. His consistent box office success earned him the moniker "Comedy Superstar" in the early 2010s. In 2012, he established Handmade Films, producing his debut film, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (2013), a commercial success. He later took on another lead role in the action-comedy Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham (2014). 'Lollu Sabha actor Seshu died as he couldn't get Rs 10 lakh for treatment: director Johnson

Tamil actor Seshu passed away at the age of 60 in a private hospital in Chennai on Tuesday. Director Johnson has now said that the actor could not be saved as he didn't have any money to pay for medical help.
