The state government on Wednesday increased the pay of Professor Class-I from Rs 1,84,000 to Rs 2,50,000. For Associate Professor Class-I, the pay has been increased from Rs 1,67,500 to Rs 2,20,000. The pay for Assistant Professor Class-I has been increased from Rs 89,400 to Rs 1,38,000 and that of Tutor Class-II has been increased from Rs 69,300 to Rs 1,05,000.

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) workers protested outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence over non-payment of dues, which are due for months. It is resulting in immense financial burden on them. This is for the second time this month that the MCD employees are on a strike. The MCD officials said as a result of the protest, MCD services will be affected for some days. The cash-strapped North and East Delhi civic bodies have been unable to pay salaries to workers for three to four months now. There are over one lakh sanitation workers waiting for their salaries.
