Chennai, Feb 21 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan on Monday apologised for causing trouble to a newly married couple, who was asked to give up their 1st AC seat. He added that he only requested the couple to shift their seat for some time as he was in a middle of discussion with former Tamil Nadu speaker. Divulging details, the minister said when he returned to his original place, the couple was not there. He added that he is not ashamed of travelling in a sleeper class. Radhakrishnan said if the couple would have asked him to vacate the seat, he would have not denied them.

Chennai, Jan 08 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan on Friday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing the Tamil Nadu Government to carry out their traditional bull taming sport ‘Jallikattu’. He also expressed gratitude to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) party chief Amit Shah and Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar for acquiescing with the Tamil community. The controversial bull-taming sport is celebrated every year during Pongal.
