Wild Elephant damages compound wall in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Feb 24 (ANI): A 10-year-old wild elephant on Wednesday entered a residential area in Kovaipudur, Coimbatore, and damaged farm field and the compound wall.In the wake of early summer, wild elephants move in residential areas in search of water and feed. Several complaints have been registered in the forest department by locals.
Curfew imposed in parts of Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 15 (ANI): Curfew was imposed in five police station areas of the Srinagar city after separatists called for a shutdown. In Srinagar, shops and government installations remained closed as a precautionary measure, while roads wore a deserted look as most people remained indoors. The armed security personnel patrolled residential and market areas to prevent any untoward incident.
