Bareilly, Jan 21 (ANI): The city of Bareilly located in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh recently observed the Urs of Sharafat miya. It was attended by thousands of devotees who came from different parts of the country to pay their respects to the saint, and seek his blessings. Sharafat miya was a revered Sufi saint in the region, who preached the teachings of unity, peace and harmony among the people. The city of Bareilly is known for its rich culture and heritage, especially the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb or the culture of religious harmony. The mausoleum is respected by one and all, as it is believed that Allah answers all prayers and wishes.Sufism in India stands for goodwill and unity among the people.
