In 2021-22, 16,022 samples were collected, while 13,663 were analysed. Of the total samples analysed, 824 were found “not conforming to standards”, while the results of 2,359 remained pending, states the data tabled by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, and Food and Public Distribution, as part of a written reply.
