New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): In a major setback to the Samajwadi Party ahead of the assembly polls scheduled next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday emerged victorious in the Muzaffarnagar bypolls. BJP's Kapil Deo Agrawal won the Muzaffarnagar seat by 6,000 votes while Congress' Mavia Ali won Deoband seat by 3,400 votes.

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Feb 15 (ANI): God is one and his place of residence can be a mosque, temple or a church. The reflection of unity, respect and equality is seen among the people who take care of a mosque at Nanhera viilage in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Dara Singh, a village head has taken the responsibility to protect the 100-year-old mosque and plans to renovate it. People of the village take care of the mosque as religions have never been an obstacle for their services. As there is no Muslim to offer any prayer or to do rituals, the whole community joins hands to look after the mosque and considers it as their heritage. With the objective to spread the message of peace and harmony, the villagers have decided to protect this place of worship till the last breath of their lives. Such efforts help to maintain and spread harmony and unity across the country.

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jan 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanjeev Balyan on Thursday met the gang rape victim's family in Muzaffarnagar. He assured that such incidents would not happen in the future. He added that the matter would be dealt seriously. He further stated that he has asked the police officials to catch the absconding accused in next three days and strict actions will be taken against the accused.

Uttar Pradesh, Jan 13 (ANI): Chowdhary Khalil has been elected as the head of Tisang village in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. Khalil, who garnered 1427 votes, defeated Raj Dhulari by 153 votes. The people from both Hindu and Muslim community gathered to celebrate his victory.
