The Madhya Pradesh Board (MPBSE), Bhopal conducts the annual secondary Class 10 and senior secondary Class 11 exams in March. In 2025, nearly 16 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 and 12 MP board exams. Starting 2025, the Madhya Pradesh Board replaced the traditional supplementary exam system with the newly launched ‘second chance examination. MPBSE Class 10th, 12th Schedule 2026: According to the revised schedule, the annual DPSE examination remains unchanged, while the board has introduced adjustments to the exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12.

Under NEP 2020 the Union govt has encouraged school boards to redesign board exams to be more flexible, competency-based, and less stressful.
