Mumbai logs month’s coldest morning at 15.9°C; cool spell to persist, AQI improves

IMD said minimum temperatures in Mumbai are expected to remain between 17 and 18 degree Celsius over the next few days, with a slight rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures likely between January 21 and 22.

The India Meteorological Department’s MeT centre in Lucknow Friday also issued an ‘orange alert’ for ‘very dense fog’ for over 50 districts for the next three days.

Colder nights in Delhi this month, cold wave likely until January 5: IMD

While cold wave conditions are likely to persist up to January 5, with dense to very dense fog expected until January 6, the city may also experience cold day conditions on January 2, the agency said in its extended range outlook.
