Tamil Nadu techie rescued from hotel confinement, 6 held

On January 9, the engineer managed to call a family member in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu over the phone from the hotel. He told the family member that he had been kidnapped and confined to a hotel in Pune.

According to the preliminary probe, the woman had contacted the Deputy SP over the phone to discuss an issue, after which the officer asked her to meet him in Dantewada, where he had to attend a police hearing.
