Doddaalahalli Kempegowda Suresh, fondly known as D. K. Suresh, is a significant figure in the Indian political landscape. He was born on December 18, 1966, in Doddaalahalli, Ramanagara, Karnataka, to his parents, D. Kempegowda and Gowramma. He completed his higher secondary education at Vivekananda College, Bangalore.

His political journey began as a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). He served as a Member of Parliament of the 17th Lok Sabha of India from the Bangalore Rural constituency. He was elected into the 15th Lok Sabha in a by-election on May 21, 2013, after the resignation of the sitting MP, H. D. Kumaraswamy and went on to retain his seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned him in September and November of 2022 about his donations to Young India. The National Herald newspaper's operations are managed by Young India. He then gave the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) the records they had requested.

On December 21, 2023, he was suspended from the Lok Sabha for disrupting the proceedings by raising slogans and entering the Well of the Lower House.
