Delhi Infra Watch: Ashram underpass to be ready by March, flyover will take a little longer

The project was approved in the cabinet along with the proposal to construct the Ashram underpass in 2019, and a foundation stone was laid in December of the same year.

To passersby, the project which comprises a 1.2-km tunnel and six underpasses might appear to be a complex web, but it will significantly reduce traffic on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg and Ring Road near ITO.

Last month, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satyendar Jain said that work on the underpass was delayed due to the shifting of power cables and will be completed in two months.
