Coimbatore, Feb 28 (ANI): The students from standard third to eight participated in an International Robotics Festival organised by robotic academy IroboChakra in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore city. They were trained into making simple robots and drones after which they created their own functional robots and displayed the same before the people. The participants made drones, Robo Arms, Power saw, Truck robo, Humanoid among others. The students also explained their creations. The winners of the competition will compete at the international level in May 2016 in the United States. robotic academy.

Wild Elephant damages compound wall in Coimbatore

Several complaints have been registered in the forest department by locals.

AAI to make airport facilities as commercially viable

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): The Airports Authority of India will enhance its marketing strategy to make airports more operationally and commercially viable. At the Airport Marketing Conference held recently in New Delhi, the officials and experts chalked out a strategy to make commercial use of airport infrastructure in the country. Formed in April 1995, the Airports Authority of India manages 125 destinations, including 77 domestic and 21 international airports in the country. The Authority is also looking at focusing on the cargo segment to boost its revenues. It has been undertaking the International Cargo handling operations at international airports including Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Amritsar and Guwahati. Similarly, the Authority has identified 24 domestic airports across five regions, including three civil enclaves to develop such integrated facilities. They include Port Blair, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Raipur, Ahmedabad and others. The Airports Authority of India, which has developed infrastructure at many of its airports, is looking forward to make its commercial use.

48-day elephant rejuvenation camp begins in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Jan 08 (ANI): A 48-day temple elephant rejuvenation camp began in Tamil Nadu in which thirty-two temple elephants from across the state have been brought to the rejuvenation camp in Coimbatore city. Taking care of the elephant is important. Feeding them daily with medicines and food is necessary to keep them healthy and strong. This is the first time I am working with the camp. The elephants would be given special food, medicines, tonic, and would be offered different forms of exercises and health check-ups. The work by the organizing committee is very beneficial for the elephants as they are being treated well and trained veterinary doctors are available to look after them. Feeding them and other facilities are beneficial to the elephants. There are veterinary doctors who will be checking on the health of the elephants on a regular basis. Apart from Coimbatore, the Tamil Nadu districts, including Tirupur, the Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri, account for a substantial elephant population.
