Leopard leaps over 10 ft wall to hunt hen; spreads panic among Coimbatore residents

A viral video on social media shows how a leopard jumped over a 10 ft wall to hunt a hen in a neighborhood in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This happened around 5 AM on Wednesday, May 29, in Somayanur village, according to reports.

The CCTV footage shared by ANI shows a hen perched atop a wall of a house. The leopard is seen stealthily approaching before pouncing on the hen. The video has gone viral, sparking widespread concern among local residents.

Locals reported that the leopard was likely drawn to the area by the hen’s early-morning clucking. The unexpected sight of the large predator in the neighborhood has left many residents in fear.
