Vijay Balasaheb Thorat, born in 1953, is an Indian politician from the Congress who has served as the Revenue Minister of Maharashtra and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
Winning as an MLA for the Sangamner constituency in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vijay has been a key figure in the cooperative movement.
He was also the founder of a milk cooperative and former president of the Sangamner District and State Cooperative Bank, while also serving as Minister of Agriculture and as Minister of Revenue and Khar Lands in the Government of Maharashtra.
