Annapurna Devi Yadav biography
Annapurna Devi Yadav, born on February 2, 1970, in Ajmeri, Bihar (now part of Jharkhand), has had a distinguished political career that spans over two decades, representing the Kodarma constituency as a member of the Legislative Assembly, initially as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) before joining the BJP.
She began her political career as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Kodarma constituency, a position she held from 1998 to 2014. Her tenure in the state assembly was marked by dedicated service to her constituency.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, she did not contest, but she made a strong comeback in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Kodarma constituency, marking her entry into national politics.
Later in 2021, she was appointed as the Minister of State for Education in the Modi government. In addition to her ministerial responsibilities, she also serves as one of the National Vice Presidents of the BJP, further cementing her position in the party and national politics.
