A Narayanaswamy biography

Abbaiah Narayanaswamy, also known as A. Narayanaswamy, is a prominent figure in the Indian political landscape. Born on May 16, 1957, in Anekal, Bangalore district, to Abbaiah and Thimmakka, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Arts at Government Arts College, Bengaluru.

His political journey began when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a national party of India. He was elected as a Member of Parliament to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, from Chitradurga, Karnataka, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He has been serving as the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment of India in the Second Narendra Modi Ministry since July 7, 2021.

He was refused access into the village of Pemmanahalli Gollarahatti in the Pavagada taluk of Tumakuru district within his own constituency because he is a member of the Madiga community, which sparked controversy.
