The Centre has cancelled a function in Punjab celebrating 100 years of the Gang canal, which supplies water to Rajasthan. This was due to concerns raised by the Punjab BJP unit about sharing water with other states. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal was asked to attend a function in Rajasthan instead.
