Sony has started rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Z2 and Z2 tablet. The update is available over-the-air or via Sony’s PC companion app.

Google had announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow at Google I/O 2015 and in all likelihood the company will announce Android N at I/O 2016 which starts from May 18.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow doesn’t bring any significant design changes to the ecosystem however fixes the privacy issues. With Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Sony Xperia smartphones will be getting revamped camera UI that makes switching between modes easier.

Also Sony is announcing new Xperia messaging apps with easy in-app access to stickers. The direct share feature allows for sharing activity with friends.

Sony’s flagship Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z3+ had already received Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
