Xiaomi’s new YI 4K Action Camera 2 goes on sale in China

Xiaomi has updated its YI action with 4K video recording feature. The new YI 4K Action Camera 2 is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps, full HD videos at 120fps and HD videos at 240fps.

Xiaomi’s Yi 4K action camera seems to be going after GoPro’s Hero series of action cameras. The new YI 4K action camera features a Sony made 12MP image sensor with 160 degree wide angle lens. The action camera uses Ambarella A9 chipset, the same chipset used on GoPro’s Hero4 camera.

Xiaomi Yi 4K action camera comes with a 2.19-inch LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. It also has a built-in 1400mAh battery. Xiaomi says it can record 110 minutes of 4K video recording at 30fps.

According to a post at The Verge, the Xiaomi Yi 4K action camera is available at Gearbest for $249.99. The action camera comes in black or white colour option.
