Asus has officially launched new ROG GL552JX gaming notebook in India. The notebook is priced at Rs 80,990.
The Asus ROG GL552JX features a 15.6-inch LED backlit display with 1920 x 1080 pixels FHD resolution. Asus has opted for 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Windows 10 notebook is powered by fourth-gen Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 2 GHz with turbo boost up to 3.20 GHz. The laptop comes with 8GB RAM and fast 1TB 7200rpm hard disk drive.
“It is a mainstream gaming laptop targeting audience who desire great gaming experience without spending too much”, said Peter Chang, Managing Director, Asus India.

He also spoke about Asus plans to launch gaming notebooks with 4K UHD display and up to 64GB RAM. Asus plans to bring desktop class performance to gaming notebooks with Intel K series sixth-gen processors and NVIDIA GTX980M graphics.
The Asus ROG GL552JX comes with two user replaceable memory slots with dedicated memory door at the bottom of the notebook. Since its a gaming notebook, Asus ROG GL552JX comes loaded with 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card coupled with Intel HD 4600 graphics.
On the connectivity front, Asus ROG GL552JX features three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port and one RJ45 LAN port. The laptop also has card slot supporting SD, MMC and MS type cards. The notebook is equipped with WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 for wireless connections.
The Asus ROG GL552JX comes with Sonic Master audio and has backlit keyboard with dedicated numeric keypad. The gaming notebook is backed by a 4 cell Li-Ion battery and weighs 2.6Kg.
