Penalties record (major tournaments):
Portugal: 3 shoot outs W2 L1

117′ Pepe with a vital header to deny Polish attackers a free header. A very important header to get in between two attackers. Lewandowski was right behind him to latch on
113′ It may just happen
Portugal could reach semis without winning once in 90 minutes.

110′ We have a pitch invader on the pitch who went after Ronaldo but the stewards intervened just in time. What a waste of your money!
105′ Nothing to add to the score in the first half of the extra time. Will the next 15 be any different?
102′ Lewandowski with a gorgeous ball across the face of the goal but no one in a white shirt goes to attack it.
99′ SHOT! Milik has a go with his left foot from distance. Not hit from the laces but tried to curl it into the corner although it didn’t work out. Goes wide of the target
95′ Final Portugal change: William Carvalho off, Danilo on
91′ Extra time underway.
FULL TIME: No separating these teams after 90 minutes. Stays 1-1, as it was after 33 minutes. Into extra time we go.
92′ William Carvalho booked. If Portugal reach the semis, he’ll miss.
90′ Three minutes added on.
89′ Pepe gets his head to the free kick but he’s offside. A minute to play.
88′ Kapustka (Poland) is booked for leaning with an elbow
84′ MISSED! Ronaldo with a lovely run to beat his marker and stay onside on a chip pass by Joao Moutinho but the Portugal keeper with a complete airshot.
82′ CHANGE: Kapustka (in) – Grosicki (out) (Poland).
81′ CLOSE!! Pepe tries to play a through ball to Cristiano Ronaldo but it is intervened by Jędrzejczyk but not without concern. The sliding interception almost creeps into Poland’s goal. Goes just wide for a corner!
79′ Second Portugal change: Quaresma on, Joao Mario off
78′ Fonte gets his head to a Joao Mario corner but it is straight to the keeper. Not the best of headers that.
73′ CHANGE: João Moutinho (in) – Adrien Silva (out)
69′ Adrien Silva (Portugal) is booked.
68′ CLOSE! Milik doesn’t get enough from a cross from the left with Pepe doing just about enough to make the effort tamer than it was. Good move.
65′ Glik (Poland) is shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Ronaldo
64′ Cerdic with a nicely struck shot from distance and it flies narrowly wide. Destined for the top corner if it was a little to the right
59′ Beautiful sight the Velodrome.

55′ MISS! Nani spreads it through to Ronaldo who takes it first time on the left foot but it hits the side netting. Poor effort! Ronaldo didn’t look at the goal even once or players around him. Could have even afforded to take a touch.
52′ Renato Sanches is third youngest goalscorer at Euros

52′ Renato Sanches with a cross from the right at the near post but no Portugese shirt makes a move there. Was a good ball had someone moved.

46′ Second half underway in Marseille with Nani getting us underway. Ronaldo has switched to half sleeves from full sleeves – he’s fired up then.
HALF TIME: PEEP PEEP! At the break, Poland 1-1 Portugal with goals from Robert Lewandowski and first from Renato Sanches.
44′ Poland slowing things down now. A minute added on.
42′ Jędrzejczyk (Poland) is booked. If Poland reach the semis, he wouldn’t be a name on the lineup.
30′ Ronaldo goes down appealing for a penalty and the replays suggest he has a case. Clearly held back by the defender
28′ Ronaldo opens up his body and finds some space to get a shot on. But that is a tame effort given the space on offer. Could have very easily taken another touch.
22′ Poland with beautiful intricate passing from outside the box and moving towards the box running circles around the Portuguese defence. However the final product is missing. Once again, Portugal defence looking shaky.
21′ Milik runs on towards the Portugal goal but has his shot blocked.
16′ Lovely strength by Lewandowski to shrug off the challenge of Pepe to get a shot on. Doesn’t bother Rui Patricio much but the intent has got to bother Portugal.
9′ A superb start to the game and something that will bring Portugal all guns blazing too. No holding back now!

2′ GOAL!! What a time to be on the scoresheet – Lewandowski side foots it home! Grosicki has space on the left to pick out a cross for Lewandowski, who slots in first time. Lewandowski ends a seven game drought in the process!
1′ And kick off!
